My foundation is different too.  I bought a small Sephora haul this week, but this was prior to that.  I had a sample of Too Faced Amazing Face SPF 15 Powder foundation that I hadn't tried yet, and used it on this day.  I'm planning a comparison post to compare it to NARS powder foundation.

I got lots of complements this day on my makeup and my hair which was funny...I've been debating on going a little darker again, and asked about 10 people if I should and to a person they said "NO STAY BLONDE!!"  I even got some extra complements from people who I didn't ask that volunteered that I should remain blonde.  SO Blonde it is for awhile I guess!!! LOL.....

I was up in the air on the Siren liner.  I think it will work better with paler colors on the lid than this, but I still liked this look!

I was trying to figure out a way to get the deeper 1920s lipsticks to be appropriate for work, and I think that using it over the gloss worked well!  I got LOTS of complements.  I also wanted a more subtle eye for this look.

I'm really loving the 1920s lipsticks!  :D  Thanks Blix!!!!

Oh, and Btw....my theme for this week is the Urban Decay Anniversary Palette!  It fits, since my own anniversary is Friday!  :D

I'm REALLY liking the combination of the Equilibrium powder and the NARS powder foundation.  It simplifies things but works to keep oilies at bay for me.  I think that for me, while cream/liquid primers are pretty good, powder primers work better, at least in the summer.

Meow Christmas In July Haul....

I took advantage of Meow's Christmas in July blowout where she pulled out all the Christmas LE colors to sell for a weekend.  :D  I had some that I hadn't gotten that I had wanted so I picked a few up.  I got free shipping too!

I have to say that the HD powder not only makes a good finishing powder but a good primer!  I haven't had much in the way of oily breakthrough at all since trying it that way.  I'm thinking that for me, at least in summer, powder primers will be better.

Also the makeup mist and set, which is a setting spray similar to MAC Fix +, at least for my skin works far better than Fix + ever did for me!  It works not only as a foiling medium but also sets my makeup with no oily breakthrough for the majority of the day....and Fix + never did that for me.  Some reviews online have mentioned a medicinal smell to it, but I can't smell a thing and I have a sensitive sniffer.  And it doesn't bother my sensitive skin or eyes either!

My eyes didn't MOVE all day long until I removed the color!  And that was12 hours!  The mineral primer is AWESOME!

Glittery Mermaid Look and a new Browser.....

OK here's a few observations...

1.  Monistat is the BOMB for primer, both for my face and eyes!  HG status for sure!
2.  LOVE the way my lips turned out
3.  Though my eyes didn't turn out exactly like I expected them to, I loved them too!
4.  I'm going to have to buy more manic panic colors.  Though I missed some areas with the Atomic Turquoise so some places were more green, I have a second coat on now that should take care of it.  :D

Alright, I have a few observations from today.

1.  I think the Larenim Mineral Silk bothered my skin
2.  Monistat makes an AWESOME primer!  So far so good.  It blurred my pores better than any of the others and kept me pretty matte all day!  I'm still going to continue to test it though.  :D
3.  I can tell a difference in the color from yesterday's too light AL 2YL and today's just right Meow Pamperred puss mix of Naughty/frisky abyssinian.  It's faint, but it's there.

So yesterday was my oldest DD's birthday party (she turned 14 on Monday) and I decided to compare my two at the moment favorite mineral foundations on my skin for coverage, finish, oil control, and feel.  So here's what I did:

Face Cont.:
Unknown Mineral powder (the label fell off LOL) in Passion on cheeks and mixed with Burts Bees Gloss on lips.  I know it's safe for this; I used to wear it that way all the time.  I'm fairly certain it's a Barefaced Minerals powder, but I'm not for sure.  HAHAHA

OK so in comparison:  I like the coverage of the Bare Minerals a little better, as well as for oil control.  However, it feels drier on my skin and it doesn't blur my pores like the Meow does.  They're pretty much the same color; I couldn't tell a difference in color on my face!

Oh, and so you can see, I pulled my hair back into a hair piece and held it in place with an acrylic hair fork.

You can see the fork peeking out the top right.  It matches pretty well.
